Tensioner Bearings

Customized tensioner bearings for automotive engine idler pulleys. Available in single-row ball & double-row angular contact designs with high heat resistance.

  • Excellent High-Temperature Resistance: Designed for the harsh high-temperature environment of automotive engine compartments, it utilizes heat-resistant special grease and high-temperature resistant seals to ensure long-term leak-free operation and no deterioration.
  • Highly Flexible Customizable Design: Custom-made "single-row deep groove ball bearings" or "double-row angular contact ball bearings" can be manufactured according to customer load requirements, precisely matching various engine idler pulley specifications.
  • Powerful Sealing and Dustproofing: Engine compartments are filled with dust and oil fumes. This product features excellent dustproof and waterproof sealing design, significantly extending bearing life.
  • Low Noise and Low Vibration: High-precision steel balls and track design effectively absorb vibrations from belt drives, reducing engine noise and improving driving comfort.

Basic Structure and Principle

  • Basic Structure: The external structure is typically combined with an idler pulley or tensioner housing. The internal bearings, depending on the design, are primarily single-row or double-row angular contact ball bearings with strong seals to withstand radial forces and some axial forces.
  • Operating principle: Installed in the belt drive system of a car engine (such as timing belt or alternator belt system). When the engine is running, the tensioner bearing continuously applies appropriate pressure (tension) to the belt to prevent it from slipping, skipping teeth, or falling off due to slack, ensuring that the crankshaft power can be stably and accurately transmitted to auxiliary equipment such as water pumps, alternators, and air conditioning compressors.

These bearings are specialized in automotive engine components:

  • Timing Belt Systems: Timing belt tensioner and idler pulley.
  • Integrated Drive Belt Systems: Belt tensioners and idler pulleys for alternators, air conditioning compressors, and power steering pumps.
  • Various Internal Combustion Engine Equipment: High-temperature industrial internal combustion engines or large generator sets requiring belt drives.
